smart home for renters

Jennifer is a single mother with a child living in a rental home, and she is constantly worried that someone will break into her rental home when she is not home.  When someone knocked at the door, she could not see who was outside, which frightened her.  Jennifer thought about installing an alarm system, but the high monthly fee and contract put her off. Add to that the fact that her landlord didn't approve of drilling, and even if Jennifer wanted to install an alarm system, there was nothing she could do about it.

Now, Jennifer has found a awesome alarm system and installed it, she no longer has to worry about damaging her landlord's house because all she needs to do is rip off 3M glue and stick it to the wall.  "Even if I moved, I could easily take it down and put it in a new rental.  There are also no monthly fees or contract restrictions.  This system makes me and my children safer.  Thieves won't come back if they see an alarm system installed. It kills two birds with one stone."

1. HUB

Before starting the alarm system, choose a good hub

Jennifer recalled that comparing several brands of Hub, the lower prices had to come with a monthly fee and a contract.  The hub of high price, although the function is good, but a single mother's income is not high, which makes her unable to afford. Jennifer decided to chose ismarthome Multi-function Gateway after price comparison.

 2. Video Doorbell

When Jennifer realized how inconvenient it was for those living in rental apartments to not have a doorbell camera, she decided to review the best visual doorbells, which is usually the case with Ssying doorbells.  Before making her choice, Jennifer considered motion detection, ease of installation, battery life, technical support and video quality.

It can often be alarming when a visitor shows up unannounced.  This doorbell features a video camera function, It will allow Jennifer to see and speak with guests standing outside (and footage is then stored in the Cloud) and can also pair it with Google Assistant or Alexa voice control settings. It's a great experience.

3. Motion Sensor

Jennifer said the main reason she bought the motion sensor was to help provide safety by detecting suspicious motion.  Sometimes not at home, and afraid of cats or dogs through the window into their own rental house. With the motion sensor installed, Jennifer can check on her phone whenever she is out and about to see if someone has broken in.

When Jennifer saw this motion sensor for the first time, she was attracted by it because of its small appearance and affordable price, which is less than 30 dollars.  The installation of 3M glue is simple, and the detection distance can also meet the security requirements.

All in all, Jennifer paid less than $130 to double the security of her rental. It was unexpected.
